OBJECTIVES

 

The Bank of Scotland wanted to reinforce its position as the bank for entrepreneurs in the UK.

THE SOLUTION - The Entrepreneur Challenge

 

Times Media devised a partnership between Bank of Scotland Corporate and The Sunday Times to offer pioneering British entrepreneurs up to £25 million in funding.  The nine-month promotion, offered five regions across the UK, the chance to win an investment of £5 million interest free funding for three years, and mentoring by Sir Philip Green to help turn exceptional business plans into profitable reality.  The promotion was supported editorially and press advertisements ran regularly in Business, News, Home and InGear to encourage applications.  Times Online hosted a dedicated Entrepreneurs section to drive entries.

THE RESULTS

 

The Sunday Times and Bank of Scotland Corporate accepted hundreds of applications.  The campaign will run for a second year with a prize value of £35 million across seven regions.
