11th February 2008: Times Media announces that it has partnered with Bank of Scotland Corporate for the second year to run The Bank of Scotland Corporate £35m Entrepreneur Challenge.
The announcement follows the success of the 2007 Entrepreneur Challenge, which firmly established Bank of Scotland Corporate as the bank for entrepreneurs.
This year, readers of The Sunday Times across seven regions throughout the UK will be offered the opportunity to win a funding package of up to £5million, free of interest and arrangement fees for a period of three years, allowing each company to transform their entrepreneurial spirit into concrete business plans. The total prize fund is £35 million.
Each of the seven regions will have its own individual judging panel, made up of a number of the country’s most successful entrepreneurs. This section includes Audrey Baxter, Chairman and Chief Executive of Baxters Food Group, John Madejski, owner of Reading Football Club, Ardeshir Naghshineh from the Targetfollow Group, Bill Muirhead, Executive Director of M&C Saatchi and Matt Riley, owner of Daisy Communications, who scooped last year’s Entrepreneur Challenge and is currently the Bank of Scotland Corporate Entrepreneur of the Year.
The Challenge will be promoted editorially and through advertisements in various sections of The Sunday Times, and a dedicated channel for entrepreneurs at Times Online.
